What happens if I forget my Master Password?

SHSU Employees who use LastPass Business use their SHSU credentials, and only need to know their personal LastPass Master Password when linking it to their LastPass Business account.
How do I get a LastPass Business account?

Only SHSU employees are eligible for a LastPass Business account. Follow the Tech Tutorial on how to request a LastPass Business account.
How can I access my personal passwords if I am using LastPass Business for work?

You can link your personal LastPass account to your LastPass Business account so that you can access passwords from both accounts through the same LastPass component (i.e., web browser extension, desktop app, or mobile app).
Can SHSU access my personal LastPass account linked to my LastPass Business account?

No, only you can access your personal LastPass account if linked to your LastPass Business account?
Why don't I have a Master Password with my LastPass Business account?

SHSU employees using LastPass Business are required to use their SHSU credentials to log in.
Will I still have access to LastPass Business accounts after I leave SHSU employment?

No. However, if you linked your personal LastPass account, it will become unlinked and revert to a "free" account. You would still be able to use LastPass from one device as normal.
For shared passwords, is access automatically removed from a shared folder when someone separates employment?

No, you should frequently audit your passwords during staff turnover.
Can I import data from a different password manager?

Sure! Instructions on how to import data are available on the LastPass website.
Is LastPass safe? Are my passwords secure?

Yes. LastPass uses military- and bank-level AES-256 bit encryption. And all your data is encrypted locally (on your device), so LastPass cannot access your data or your passwords. LastPass will not even have access to your LastPass Master Password.
Can I use LastPass with my mobile device?

Yes. You can use LastPass with iOS (iPhone/iPad), Android, and Windows Phone mobile device platforms. Just download and install the LastPass mobile app for your device (Apple App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android).
