Honoring Outstanding Bearkats

After graduation, SHSU alumni continue to fulfill the university's motto "The measure of a Life is it's Service."  The Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumni Award and Service Award recognizes those Bearkats who made significant contributions to their profession, community, or alma mater.

Each year, a small number of exceptional alumni are honored at the Distinguished Alumni Gala with the Distinguished Alumni Award, Outstanding Young Alumni, and Alumni Service Awards.
