About the Testing Center

Sam Houston State University Testing Center supports the institutional strategic priorities of empowering students, transforming lives, and strengthening communities by providing opportunities for the assessment of knowledge, validation of learning, and certification of skills. The Testing Center provides a wide range of standardized and academic testing to SHSU students and the community. The Testing Center provides services based on and adheres to the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines.  Tests administered include, but are not limited to, entrance exams, placement exams, credit-by-exam, distance education exams, and certification/licensure exams.
