Undergraduate Degree Plan
You will learn how to prepare and present informative and persuasive speeches using the latest technologies and acquire the skills necessary to engage effectively in communication in interpersonal, small group, and various other contexts. You will also study nonverbal communication, intercultural communication, family communication, principles of persuasion, communication theories, conflict management, and more.
B.A. in Communication Studies
In the B.A. program, the student chooses four semesters of a foreign language, one semester of philosophy, and one semester of a creative arts class, in addition to the 42-hour general education core and all other degree requirements. The 30-hour major requires an 18-hour minor that complements the student’s interests or career aspirations. All students also must have at least 42 hours of advanced credits (numbered 3000-4000) included in the minimum 120 credit hours necessary for the bachelor’s degree.
B.S. in Communication Studies
