Sam Houston State University is now partnered with TimelyCare to deliver a new virtual health and well-being platform for students. Through either a mobile app or your desktop, TimelyCare provides 24/7 access to virtual care from anywhere in the United States at no additional cost.
Students have access to TimelyCare services 365 days a year. That means you have access during breaks, after-hours, and any time you need support!

- How can I access TimelyCare?
Visit TimelyCare or download the TimelyCare app from your app store and register with your SHSU email address. You can then start visits from any web-enabled device – smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop – anywhere in the United States.
- Who can use TimelyCare?
Any enrolled SHSU student. That’s you!
- What services are available?
- TalkNow - 24/7, on-demand emotional support to talk about anything, including anxiety, relationships, depression, and school-related stressors.
- Scheduled Counseling – Select the day, time, and mental health provider of your choice. (9 visits per academic year.)
- Health Coaching – Develop healthy lifestyle behaviors, including nutrition, sleep habits, time management, and mindfulness.
- Psychiatry – Advanced mental health care, available upon referral from: SHSU Counseling Center, SHSU Student Health Center, or a TimelyCare provider.
- Basic Needs Support – Access to low or reduced-cost community resources, including food and housing assistance, transit support, childcare, and finances.
- Self-Care Content – Access guided self-care content, including yoga and meditation sessions, as well as group conversations with our providers on a variety of health and well-being topics.
- How much does a visit cost?
