Internet Bookmarks and Favorites

SHSU offers multiple browsers for users to access the internet. The bookmarks and favorites for each browser can be imported into the other browsers. Select your browser of choice below for instructions on how to import favorites and bookmarks from other browsers.

  • Edge

    To import favorites into Edge, open Edge.

    1. Select the Favorites icon in the upper right corner.
    2. Select the ellipsis (...).
    3. Select Import favorites.

    On the Import browser options, select the browser to import favorites from.

    Once the browser is selected,

    1. Select what options to import (these options will vary depending on the browser selected in the previous step).
    2. Select Import.

    The favorites will now be imported into Edge.

  • Chrome

    To import favorites into Chrome, open Chrome.

    1. Select the vertical ellipsis in the upper right corner.
    2. Select Bookmarks.
    3. Select Import bookmarks and setting...

    On the Import browser and settings options, select the browser to import favorites from.

    Once the browser is selected,

    1. Select what options to import (these options will vary depending on the browser selected in the previous step).
    2. Select Import.

    The favorites will now be imported into Chrome.

  • Safari

    To import the saved bookmarks/favorites into Safari, open Safari and select the File menu. Select Import From, then Bookmarks from HTML.

    Browse to the location of the saved file from a browser. Click Import.

    To confirm the import, select the Bookmarks menu and look for the folder with the name Imports (and date of import).
