The College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University ranks among the top programs in the nation and maintains the largest, nationally-recognized faculty. The Department of Victim Studies is the first department in the nation to teach and research solely on issues related to victimization. Faculty represent an ideal mix of theory and practice. Our first-class faculty are not only effective teachers, but are also nationally and internationally-known scholars who publish regularly and contribute to the growing body of knowledge relating to victimization. Many also have significant professional experience working for government agencies, social service agencies and as researchers.
