Polkas

Lisa Polka Salon, Op. 141, PP.142.13

A "salon" Polka is characterized by a slower tempo that found in a "regular" polka. Oddly, this work was never listed in the programs of the band in Cremona. One sign that it is an early work (1865?) is the notation for two bombardinos. The band began its new life without a designated flicorno basso player, so this (as well as a few other pieces) reflect this instrumentation.
