Kristen Stevens is a Lecturer of Music whose teaching spans multiple departments, reflecting her broad and dynamic approach to music education. She teaches Musicianship I, II, and III; Vocal Techniques for Instrumentalists; Survey of World Music Cultures; and Music Appreciation, in addition to providing private voice instruction for Conroe ISD.
Her areas of specialization include vocal pedagogy and composition, with a particular focus on the expressive and technical development of the voice. Kristen’s current creative projects include Grieving Happiness, a song cycle exploring themes of loss, memory, and emotional transformation, and Three Lullabies, a whimsical set of songs designed to gently guide children into restful, dream-filled sleep.
Kristen earned her Bachelor of Music, cum laude, from Houston Baptist University (now Houston Christian University), where she received the Music Educator’s Award. She completed her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at Sam Houston State University in 2023.
