STEM Center Teaching Enhancement Grant

Assistant Professor Dr. Di Gao participated in three projects: Ramp into Research, a Teaching Innovation Grant, and a STEM center Teaching Enhancement Grant. For the Ramp into Research project, Dr. Gao created an online module with fundamental information that leads students to discover his research in Regression and Bayesian analysis. For the Teaching Innovation Grant, he worked with Dr. Danhong Chen, Dr. Doo Young Kim and Dr. Renjie Zhou to build a consulting-based course model, helping students’ course performance through active learning engagement. For the STEM center Teaching Enhancement Grant, Dr. Gao is utilizing the STEM center active learning classroom facility, where he can reimagine the course for student learning, rather than simply teaching statistics in a traditional lecture format.
