Whether you want to write, direct, produce, edit, or shoot, the Bachelor of Fine Arts in film and TV production provides the advanced production and post-production skills and the knowledge to prepare for a career in the film-making industry. Students pursuing this degree should have some experience in video production and editing.
The BFA in film and TV production provides students with an excellent liberal arts education from a renown department with a high degree of student-faculty interaction, a wide variety of hands-on courses, and state-of-the-art facilities located in the Dan Rather Communications Building. Students will be prepared for a career in motion picture and media production in a diverse, multi-cultural, and rapidly changing media world.
Portfolio Review
Portfolio Review is required for all freshman and transfer students prior to admittance into the BFA Film and TV degree program.

Hands-On Experience and Travel Abroad
Take advantage of opportunities to participate in hands-on study programs at famed film institutes in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. An annual trip to the Cannes Film Festival offers student film submission, internships, and the opportunity to interact and network with leading film and television industry professionals from around the globe.
