What is Bearkat Camp?
Bearkat Camp is a three-day, two-night experience for incoming SHSU Freshmen that focuses on the spirit, pride and traditions of Sam Houston.

The Friendships
Become a part of the SHSU community before moving in! The students you meet at BKC are the same ones you will share dorms, classes, and campus activities with throughout the year. Why not meet them early?!
The Location
BKC is held at SHSU's own University Camp in Riverside, TX. UCamp features lake-front views, air-conditioned buildings and all the modern conveniences in a traditional camp setting.

Bearkat Camp is $125, and Transfer Camp is $50. Bearkat Camp registration fee includes all meals, lodging, camp t-shirt, and programming.
Cancellations made after listed deadlines are non-refundable.
