Community Partners
There are many community partners that support individuals with disabilities. The partners include businesses, agencies, non-profits, religious institutions, and many more. A community partner may be a formal support such as the owner or manager of a business an the informal support such as the support of a co-worker.
The Community Partners page will be the next Garrett Center update and will go live in January 2019
In This Section: Information will be provided concerning partnership models, examples of partnership forms such as an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) or progress monitoring forms, and laws that govern school-age children with disabilities. Links to additional information and resources for community partners will be selected to help each community partner support individuals with disabilities. |

Texas Health and Human Services
This website shows the range of services to Texans with disabilities that help ensure their well-being, dignity and choice. Programs also are in place to support family members who care for them. Links on this page include Medicare, Medicade, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Social Security, and Social Security Income.
Aging and Disability Resource Center (ARDRCs)
This website helps cut through the confusing maze of funding sources, multiple intake systems, and eligibility processes. ADRCs provide help to people in all 254 counties in the state.
