The Collection

All but a few pieces in the Ricordi Archives in Milan are in the Biblioteca statale in Cremona. With a few exceptions noted in the individual pieces, most are autograph scores. Sadly, only one set of parts remain, likely the work of Francesco Belforti. His catalog of the contents of the band's collection from 1884 was a valuable resource as there are many works listed in concert programs for which no scores exist. Many titles were by Milan's capobanda, Gustavo Rossari. None of these scores seems to have survived.
