Bio

Dr. Buddhadev is a professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Sam Houston State University. He earned his doctorate in Kinesiology from Iowa State University with an emphasis in Biomechanics and a minor in Gerontology. He received a Master’s in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas and Bachelors of Physiotherapy from Gujarat University in Ahmadabad, India.

Dr. Buddhadev presently serves as the director of the Biomechanics and Motor Behavior Laboratory and coordinator for the Clinical Exercise Science Program. His research focuses on identifying and understanding gait adaptations that occur with aging and aging-related conditions such as bunions and knee osteoarthritis. His research has been published in several prestigious journals including Gait & Posture, Journal of Biomechanics, Journal of Applied Biomechanics, Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, Human Movement Science, Journal of Aging and Physical Activity, and the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.
